Most beautiful during dusk, when the castle is lited up. It is relatively quiet when we toured the interior during the day. Only a group of kids probably on excursion. We stayed at Ibis, hotel was small, toilet is even smaller. But for a night stay just to catch the beautiful cite carcossonne at dusk,I think is worth it.
Ibis is about 15 minutes away from the train station but the castle is just behind the hotel so it makes the visit very easy.
Next and last stop: Barcelona
This is the bus station to Pont Du Gard. Takes about 45minutes. The station located behind the train station..there is a information centre inside the Gare de Nimes train station

We took bus line 21 from nimes to a stop call Rond point pont du gard. Journey is about 45 mins. We then walk in which takes about 15 mins to reach the visitor centre.
Beautiful bridge built by the Romans. It has 3 tiers of arches. We are lucky there isn’t much visitors around so we can have pictures without strangers.

Today plan is supposed to go to mont st michel. However all the trains are full!! So we decided to switch the journey to Château de Chenonceau (cannt remember the name)
Tgv, which only takes one hour is also full… so we took a regional train which will take us about 2.5 hours. Everything on tgv seems to be always full…. you need to change a train at st pierre de corps to reach Chenonceau and then a short walk.
The chateau is built on top of river cher, making it a beautiful site and worth the visit

From Nice to Nimes
This is Nice. Weather is by far the best in this trip. About 15° usually.
People still sun bathing despite it is supposed to be winter. Not much nude bathing spotted though.
